11/3/17 - This is an original WW1 production model 1911 calvalry style holster. The longer attachment neck or tongue on this holster was for attaching to a saddle for calvalry troops. These holsters are more desirable than standard 1911 holsters. The tongue has some surface wear and wrinkling on the leather, as well as stitching missing on either side, but overall is in tact and completely original. The riveted attachments are all original with no notable issues. The holster has nice, normal aging and use wear on the leather, while staying completely in tact. The back leather has the initials "RMD" scratched into the leather. The stitching on the body of this holster is completely in tact. On the main body of leather is a maker stamp and 1918 date stamp. Guaranteed original and authentic.
