3/13/18 - This is a .22 Caliber Winchester model 75 training rifle, built at the end of or immediately after WW2. The rifle is phosphate finished metal with a beautiful like-new condition stock. The stock is marked "TE" which is an arsenal stamp - and there is no cartouche. The underside of the stock has a "P" stamp. This tells me that the rifle was sent to an arsenal to get fitted with a new stock. The metal on the rifle is lightly worn though - one can see light brown speckling on the barrel - we tried to show this in photos. The action is very smooth and the bore is nice. There is strong rifling and minimal wear/residue in the bore. The rifle comes with a minty arsenal strap ink stamped "MRT" and there's a "W" marked original Winchester magazine included. The rifle has a Lyman rear sight mounts for a scope if one desired to attach an optic. Guaranteed original.
