6/10/21 - This is a Walther PP with an interesting history. It was originally issued to the Nazi military in 1944, as evidenced by the "Waffen 359" proof on the frame. It is all matching. There is a Russian "X", so it was captured by the Russians. It was then likely issued to the East Germans, because the Walther slide legend and waffen proof on the slide were removed. The gun also has German export proofs on it and a US import mark on the right side of the frame. So at some point, it ended up in the US. It has retained about 98% of its finish with minor wear around the muzzle and some light handling marks on the slide and straps. Areas of splotchy discoloration throughout and some minor pin-pricking on the left side of the frame. Comes with excellent East German grips with no Walther banner. The gun is photographed with one post war finger extension magazine that is a little difficult to get in and out of the gun, so we added an additional flat bottom post-war magazine. Minty bore.
