8/18/20 - This is an original Mk 2 Fighting Knife, issued to the US Navy during WW2. It comes with an original USN Mk2 scabbard as well. Overall, it is in very nice condition. Most of the finish on the blade is in tact, but there is wear along the high edges. The blade is marked "USN Mark 2" and "Camillus, NY". Light handling marks on the handle and brown patina on the pommel. The scabbard is marked "USN MK2" and "Nord-4723 B M Co VP". Most of the original coating on the scabbard is in tact, but there are light scuffs and scratches throughout and some wear at the tip. Most of the metal pieces on the scabbard are covered in spotty brown patina. The blade is still sharp.
