12/5/18 - This is a nice example of a 1942 made Colt M1911A1 with matching numbered slide and mismatched craft box. The gun retains maybe 94-95% original finish, with nearly all wear seen on the front strap where there is an area of oxidation and discoloration. Colt barrel with decent bore, though it does have some frosting and minor freckling. 'WB' inspector proof. Excellent grips. 'S' marked magazine.
