SOLD - US Army Colt 1911 - 1918 "Black Army"

5/31/18 - This is a US Army issued Colt 1911, manufactured in 1918 with all original parts and finish.  This pistol is considered a "Black Army" Colt due to the dark finish they used in 1918. These finishes don't hold up well over time so this one is actually MUCH better than most you will see. Finish usually flakes off but his one has turned a uniform patina brown throughout.  Excellent original grips and dual-tone magazine.  HP marked barrel that shows minor corrosion and frosting throughout the bore.   All original parts and configuration. Tough to find in this condition. WW1 issue. Frame has proper Springfield acceptance. Correct and original Colt.
