3/25/20 - This is an original Colt M1911 that was manufactured in 1918, at the end of the Great War. The original bluing doesn't show much actual bluing loss, rating at 85-90% with most of the wear on the back strap. But there is a notable oxidation and patina all over the gun. Proper inspector mark on frame, and intertwined HP proof on barrel. This serial should have disconnect P H by the book, as it dates to earlier portion of 1918, and intertwined HP is later in 1918. The intertwined HP barrel is still a scarce barrel and correct for a large portion of 1918, so we have kept them together. Nice wood grips, with some handling wear on both panels. Two-tone magazine. Bore has strong rifling but unfortunately it does have some freckling/corrosion in the grooves.
