2/8/21 - This is an immaculate example of a very late production Series II "P" Code commercial Krieghoff Luger with holster and both matching magazines. This series of Luger is described on pages 220-227 of the book "The Krieghoff Parabellum" by Gibson and this specific Luger is pictured on page 226. This unique example has the C-3 die stamp on the front toggle with the late vertical "eagle/N" commercial proof marks on the left side frame rail and the underside of the barrel. These Lugers were a continuation of the early 1940 contract that falls into the serial number range P1060 to P1280 with a total estimated production of only 200! This specific pistol has the blank chamber and Krieghoff marked toggle. This rare Luger is still chambered in the 7.65 mm Luger cartridge and does not have the Krieghoff rejection star, indicating it was pulled from new production Lugers for commercial sale. This particular example is all matching and original with 99% of the lustrous Krieghoff blue remaining. Beautifully strawed small parts. Excellent, original grips. Both original, matching magazines are present. Comes with a 1936 dated holster in excellent condition, and an unmarked tool. There can't be more than a handful of examples remaining with both of the matching magazines, and it's possible, if not likely, this is the finest known example with both mags.
