7/8/19 - This is a very good condition U.S. M1942 bayonet for the M1 Garand Rifle. Includes the correct WWII Issue M3 fiberglass scabbard. This 16" bayonet has the early and desirable brown colored grips. Tight & secure with no cracks or chips. The blade ricasso is maker marked A. F. H. (American Fork & Hoe of Geneva Ohio) above "U.S." and the Ordnance flaming bomb. Date stamped 1942. The original finish on the blade is about 98% with minor scabbard wear and no evidence of sharpening. The scabbard is marked with the ordinance bomb and has some minor high edge wear. Personalized on the back "B1855" But, otherwise, very good condition with no breaks. Nice piece of US military history.
