SOLD - Terrific Colt Official Police - 1942 - Factory Letter

9/18/18 - This is a "like new" condition, high polish Colt revolver.  It comes in 38 caliber and the model is "Official Police".  However, in 1942 many of these were diverted for military or governmental use.  This one comes with a factory letter indicating that it went to the Defense Department in Washington DC in March of 1942 and then a month later shipped to a Powder Company in Chattanooga.  Excellent condition, excellent bore, excellent grips.  The grips are military grade plastic grips.  Only noteworthy flaw is a small gouge on the right side of the frame.
