4/11/22 - This is a terrific example of a Colt 1911A1 that was issued to the US military in 1943. It is "US Property" marked and has the proper US military cross-canon cartouche. The slide is correctly un-numbered. It has retained about 97% of its original finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and some high edges on the slide. One spot of wear toward the middle of the left side of the slide. There are a few very minor handling marks/surface scratches. The most noticeable scratch is from the takedown lever. It comes with minty period-correct grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling and very minor frosting in the grooves.
