12/21/20 - This must be one of the most difficult Mauser “Banner” Lugers to locate - a Dutch Navy contract gun in original 98% condition with just a few speckles of wear on the grip straps and minimal holster wear on the high edges, as per pictures.
Only a few hundred of these rare guns were made before in 1937 that did not have a letter suffix following the serial number and had the “Rust” safety marking. This gun is all matching and complete with a super rare Dutch navy holster with a navy copper insert in the front of the holster - marked “13”, and signifying it as being assigned to a specific warship. It also comes with the original capture document which states it was brought back by T/SGT. Glenn Carter in October of 1945. The holster is in excellent original condition and still has an original cleaning rod with it. T he magazine is a correctly unnumbered Haenel Schmaisser magazine. Excellent bore and grips. A super scarce complete rig, that is in a league of its own.
