12/29/20 - This is a fantastic example of an early S-code Krieghoff Luger, made around 1936 for the Luftwaffe. The gun is in excellent original condition, retaining about 97-98% of its high polished blue with minimal wear on high edges and some minimal thinning of blue on the sides of the slide. The straw on the small parts is still vivid. All the markings are crisp. The gun is all matching except for an original magazine that is 30 digits off the gun’s serial. The grips appear to be of a slightly later vintage - made around 1936 / 37, but are in great shape as well. These early guns usually had a wood grip, or Ritzmann fine checkered, but they were not always put together in serial number sequence according to Gibson's book. This example has the Ritz grips on it. The gun came to us with the grips that are in the photos. Bore has strong rifling but minor frost throughout. A great example of a very desirable early Krieghoff Luger.
