7/22/19 - This an all-original, real G.I., pre-Pearl Harbor, WW2 Springfield M1 Garand in superb condition. It was manufactured in September of 1941, making it an early gun. As such, all of the internal parts are early (see photos). It also has an early, flush-nut rear sight. This rifle is not a lend-lease. It has a throat erosion (TE) rating of 1. All of the parts appear to be original and correct throughout. This Garand is an outstanding example, and it is very hard to find one like it in this condition. Overall, the gun is in amazing condition. The finish on the metal parts is excellent and appears to be original - just some very minor handling marks on the barrel and on the bottom plate of the trigger housing. The wood stock is also excellent and original. The military "cross-cannon" cartouche is visible and very crisp, as is the "P" marking below the trigger guard. The gun is fully functional and operates smoothly. The bore is mint. C&R eligible.
