5/25/20 - This is an ultra rare and desirable Steyr G.12/34 that was made in 1939 as part of a Luftwaffe contract order by Hermann Goring. These rifles were part of a contract of Steyr Solothurn Colombian M12/34 rifles that was being manufactured at Steyr when the 1938 annexation of Austria occurred. These rifles are erroneously called the G.29O by collectors today, but Steyr documents called in the Luftwaffe Karabiner G12/34. The Luftwaffe, in desperate need of small arms, immediately took over the production and the rifle was modified as much as possible to the standard 98k Rifle configuration. This rifle has all original and matching parts, including the stock, buttplate, trigger assembly, bolt assembly, front bands, receiver, etc. Finish on the receiver is very nice but the bands and forward portion of the barrel show notable thinning. The stock has various dings throughout, and one notable chip on the wrist, but no cracks. Sharp waffenamts can be found all over the stock and receiver, with Steyr E/623 proofs found on all parts. Fantastic bore.
