5/6/20 - Between the "S" Code Krieghoff and the 1936 marked ones there was a brief period when they made the "36" code Krieghoff. Only about 500 of these were made in 1936 so they are considered a rare variation when compared to the 1936 or 1937. This early gun comes with the finely checkered Ritz grips. It has all original parts and finish. The numbered parts are all matching including the magazine, but the numbering on the mag is deeper and a bit "off" in our opinion. Therefore we are selling this HK as a "non-matching" magazine only because we are not sure that it is factory original. Nothing else on this gun is questionable. You can see how deep blue the finish is including the grip straps. I would rate this original finish to be in the 95-96% range with the biggest loss being just one spot of wear on the sideplate. Just a great looking Krieghoff and a rare find. The gun was issued to the Luftwaffe in 1937 and used very little as it has an excellent bore.
