8/15/18 - This is an original WW2 Stevens model 620 trench shotgun made for the US military. The shotgun is serial number 25583 which falls into the proper range for trench shotguns made during WW2. Has the proper heat shield and bayonet lug. The finish on the heat shield and bayonet lug is mostly misisng, leaving the dull grey/green steel color as we see today. There are light hints of the original plumb on the bayonet lug and heat shield though (very small amounts). The bore and tube are similar in that they have this dull green/grey finish and patina throughout. The receiver has the most bluing in tact, but generally the bluing is gone on the metal of this shotgun. Makes sense as these were heavily used during WW2. Properly "P" proofed stamped on the barrel and receiver with a flaming bomb underneath each. The stock appears unaltered and unmarked. Guaranteed all original and fully functional.
