10/8/20 - This is a nice example of a Springfield "Krag" Model 1898, manufactured in 1901. Overall, it is in nice condition. The original bluing is mostly worn throughout, except for on the barrel. There is spotty oxidation and discoloration throughout. The stock is excellent condition, just a few bruises and minor dings. The stock is dated 1901 and has inspectors initials on the left side. There is a "P" proof on the wrist. The gun is fully functional and the action is smooth. The bore has decent rifling, but there are areas of minor pitting throughout.
