7/7/20 - This is a 1955-manufactured Springfield M1 Garand and was a part of the Civilian Marksmanship Program. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. There is a CMP marking on both the stock and the barrel. The barrel is Springfield-made and is dated 1954. The metal parts on this gun are minty - just a few light handling marks here and there, especially on the barrel. The wood stock is excellent. Unfortunately, there is a significant ding right in the middle of the CMP marking. It is P proofed on the hand guard. There is a small repair on the top side of the butt stock. There are small handling marks throughout. Muzzle and throat reading are 2. The bore is minty. It comes with a reproduction sling.
