5/7/21 - This is a very nice example of a Model 1865 Spencer Carbine. These guns were used as the exclusive rifle of the American cavalrymen in their campaign against horseback indigenous people. This one is in nice condition overall. The metal parts are in tact with spotty brown patina throughout. There are dings and scratches on the stock throughout and a few more noticeable chips in the foregrip. There are faint inspector proofs on the left side. The original saddle ring on the receiver is still in tact. The bore is very nice for its age - shiny with strong rifling.
