12/31/18 - This is a rare transitional Colt 1911 that was manufactured in 1924. Fewer than 10,000 Colt 1911s were made that year, and they are known to have transitional features from the 1911 to the 1911A1. This one is all original and correct with about 85-90% blue remaining. The most notable wear is on the front strap, with some thinning and edge wear on the slide. The pistol has solid checkered walnut grips and a type 5 Colt barrel (intertwined HP mark on top of barrel). WTG inspector logo. H and G proofs on top of frame. Very nice bore with no pitting or frost. Two-tone magazine.
