1/16/20 - This is a scarce Navy-issued Mauser M1934 from the mid-late 1930s. It's a first variation example, one of ~8,000 produced, with Kriegsmarine eagle on left side plate and property marking on front strap. The Kriegsmarine marking on the side is larger than others we have seen but it looks old and worn. The N property mark on the front strap looks original. This example shows some thinning and patina throughout the frame and left side plate. There is also a notable ding along the top of the barrel. Bore has strong rifling but minor frost throughout. Very nice grip aside from minor chip on the back. Mauser marked magazine.
