1/31/20 - This is a near-mint Springfield Armory M1922 MII that was made in May of 1925, which was the first year of production for the MI. These were build as cadet training rifles, designed to mimic the M1903 Springfield. This particular example shows that the armory upgraded it from the MI, as the second 'I' was clearly added later. The parkerized finish rates at 98-99% with just a minor, thin scuff along the top of the barrel. Mint bore and stock. Stock is marked 'ISAI' over 'O' on the left side. Excellent sling is included. Bolt action is buttery smooth. Handle is marked 'NS' and 'M2', and bolt is also marked 'M2'.
