8/8/18 - This is a scarce Spanish Llama Model II pistol made in the early 1940s and later exported into Germany by Geco in 1942. The pistol is marked 'GC' for 'Guardia Civil', denoting it was original issued to Spain's Civil Guard. It would've then been made available for import by the German retailer to be sold commercially to party and military officers in Germany, as evidenced by the Geco proof on the left side. It also features an 'N' marking on the left side frame, denoting it was imported in 1942. The pistol has a very early serial for the known range (one of the first thousand Geco examples). The pistol is in excellent condition overall with 99% bluing remaining, but we are not certain the finish is original. Some of the proofs appear faint at the edges, but if the finish was restored then it was done beautifully as the work is excellent. The bore is clean with good rifling. Excellent original brown wood grips and one original magazine included.
