9/25/17 - This is a beautiful Baby Nambu, manufactured at the Tokyo Artillery Arsenal, with its original matching magazine and grips. The original finish rates at 99+%, with almost no wear to mention, but it does have spots of patina in various areas of the frame and slide. This pistol falls in the middle of the serial range for Baby Nambu's produced by Tokyo AA, of which there were 5,900 made. Other features include "Type Nambu" in Kanji on the right side of frame and checkered walnut grips. These pistols were popular among Japanese officers and acquired the unofficial name of 'Officers Model Nambu'. These pistols were of the highest quality fit and finish, and are considered a collector's prize.
