9/3/19 - This is a beautiful example of perhaps the most desirable Army variation Luger produced by Mauser. Mauser began production on the Luger in 1934, marking these pistols with 'K' date code over the chamber, and producing only about 10,000 such pistols. They saw heavy use, and it can be near-impossible to find all matching and correct examples in this condition. This pistol retains 96-97% original blue, with minor edge thinning in all the common places, and a spot of finish loss on the bottom of the front strap. The small parts retain ~90% of the original straw. All matching numbers, however the grips could be replacements. They are numbered to the gun in a DWM style small font compared to what I typically see on the Mauser numbered grips. 'S' proofs on all parts, though the stamp on the sideplate is faint as it was weakly struck. In spite of the weak stamp I believe the sideplate is correct and original. The magazine is an original with rare B90 proof, but is numbered to a different Luger. Terrific bore. Sharp grips without defect.
