6/18/20 - This is a very nice example of a scarce Enfield Tower Musket from 1862, chambered in .577 minie ball. This is a particularly high condition example for this variation, with some obvious patina to the finish on the barrel but the blue is largely intact. The receiver has the British crown proof but the lack of other British or other royal markings implies this rifle would have been exported to the US, and the either gone to the union or confederacy. The ramrod has been cut, and could be a trapdoor example. Bore shows obvious but some rifling still intact. The stock has several dings and nicks but no cracks.
