5/5/20 - This is a decent example of a rare Mauser P.38, made in 1942, the first year of production. There were fewer than 20,000 of this variation produced, which is a very low production total for any wartime P.38 variation. This particular gun is all matching with 60-70% of the original dust blue finish remaining. There is thinning on all major surfaces with various spots of minor discoloration or oxidation. Good mechanics, including de-cocker. Strong bore. Excellent grips. The pistol comes with the postwar magazine that's in the photos, as well as an original 'jvd' marked magazine.
