2/27/20 - This is a nice example of a rare Mauser P.38, made in 1942, the first year of production. There were fewer than 20,000 of this variation produced, which is a very low production total for any wartime P.38 variation. This particular gun is all matching with 85-90% of the original, dust blue finish remaining. There is minor finish loss on the edges of the slide, muzzle, and firing pin cover. There is also some thinning/browning on the front strap. Minty bore. Mechanics are correct but the action is a little stiff. Likely just needs a good cleaning/oiling. Excellent grips, and a Mauser mag.
