4/28/21 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942. Only about 100,000 were produced that year, compared to over 750,000 in 1943. The slide is numbered and matching. It is "United States Property" marked and has "WB" inspector initials. Colt 45 Auto barrel with a "G" under the lug. The gun has retained about 85% of its original finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and high edges of the slide and thinning on the front strap and slide. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is spotty dark brown patina throughout. Comes with excellent grips and a proper magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling.
