10/25/21 - This is a scarce Nazi Walther P.38 from late in 1943, when the change was made to the slide markings in the 'm' and 'n' blocks to place the factory code and year of manufacture on the same line. Only ~18,000 such pistols were produced in 1943. This pistol has all original bluing with high edge wear on muzzle and front edges of slide, and some general thinning of the front strap. Matching slide and frame, but the barrel is a mismatched Mauser example (barrel and locking block match each other). Original wartime Mauser grips with various scuffs and scratches but no cracks. Excellent bore. Good mechanically, including de-cocker.
