8/6/20 - This is an uncommon and interesting Remington 1911A1 that was issued to the US military during World War II, but made its way through Vietnam where it was converted to the 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge. The frame and slide are both Remington produced given the inspectors mark and slide legend, but the serial appears redone by whoever did the conversion. It's possible it was the Chinese after the Korean War but most likely is the Viet Cong. The finish is worn on the front strap and left side of the slide. The barrel is of course modified and converted to the Tokarev cartridge and has a minty bore. The magazine is a 10mm Colt mag that came with the gun, and we believe fits the cartridge but we don't have the ammo here to test it. Comes with a 1918 dated military holster that has the name 'Sgt. Hernandez' on the back.
