9/23/21 - This is a nice example of a Remington Rand 1911A1 that was made in late 1943 for the U.S. Army. The parkerized finish is in very good condition overall with minor high edge wear, and a little thinning on the front grip strap. The pistol did go back through the arsenal at some point as it is 'RIA' marked on the frame, and has a Springfield barrel. The finish does not appear redone though, and the slide is the correct variation for the frame. Terrific bore. Excellent grips. Unmarked magazine.
