6/8/21 - This is an excellent example of a "Red 9" Mauser C96 rig that was initially issued to the Imperial German Army during WW1. It was then reworked after the war and was eventually issued to the Nazi military. The gun has a "1920" rework mark and a waffen proof on the right side of the slide. The barrel was shortened when it was reworked. It is all matching, but the slide was re-numbered at the police arsenal to match. Original matching Red 9 grips. The rig comes with a period-correct leather holster. The gun has retained about 98% of its bluing with just a hint of wear on the front edge of the frame, on the side rails, and around the muzzle. The bore is mint.
