9/25/19 - Listed for sale here is the rarest and most desirable SS contract Walther PPK variation, with its original capture certificate. This is a variation one example, with serial number on the muzzle and RZM marked slide. Made in 1935, the pistol is all correct and original with about 93-94% high-polished blue remaining, with standard muzzle wear on both sides of the slide but an area of finish loss and freckling on the right side of the slide. Production totals on this variation are estimated in the hundreds, and this is the first we've encountered with its capture document. You can likely count on one hand the amount of this variation still in existence that also retains said document. The certificate states the pistol was brought back in October of 1945 by Pvt. John Elwart, and has the serial of the pistol indicated on it. The gun has a near-mint bore, and the grip and finger extension magazine are beautiful, with no cracks or chips.
