SOLD - Rare Winchester Model 97 Trench Shotgun

8/3/18 - This is an original Winchester model 1897 Trench Shotgun made during WW2. This shotgun was produced in 1942 and comes with the original factory shroud and bayonet lug. The shotgun is a proper takedown model and in about 90% overall condition. A 1944 dated canvas sling is also included. The shotgun has a very nice blued finish, with a small spot of pitting on the shroad, but the rest of the shroud is minty. There's typical bluing loss on the tube from use. The barrel has browning / patina throughout - especially towards the receiver / legend area. The receiver is excellent though, despite a few light surface scratches. Has the U.S. and flaming bomb ordnance proof on one side of the receiver. The wood stock is excellent and properly cartouche stamped with a W.B. inspector proof. Overall excellent collector trench shotgun. Smooth action, fully functional and guaranteed original.
