7/30/18 - This is an extremely rare SA Unit marked Walther PPK . Typically the SA Gruppe markings are only found on PP's and marked on the front strap. This one is marked on the slide "SA 53 STURM ARBTEILUNG". The pistol was made in 1938 or 1939. I have been gathering data on PP's and PPK's for about 20 years now and have a database of over 12k guns. There are only a few known SA marked PPK's. At least 2 of them are questionable markings. I am confident that this one is PERIOD authentic and correct. To clarify, I don't believe the SA marking is factory applied, but rather was added by the SA group that ordered this gun and presumably others. Must like military unit markings in WW1, and police dept. markings added in both WW1 and 2. We have known about this gun for about 10 years and actually sold it once before. I did ask to buy it back if the owner ever decided to sell. Thus, here is your opportunity to own a very rare, collectible piece. The finish is all original with notable areas of thinning on the right side slide and the front strap. Inside of slide is etched "037" to make it a matching slide. Proper banner only magazine with finger extension. The bore and grips are very good, to excellent. We can offer a certificate of authenticity if requested.
