2/6/19 - This is a very scarce variant of Walther P38 pistol, made with a shortened 2.5 inch barrel in 1974 in West Germany. This particular pistol is especially rare as it is not import marked, and doesn't have the serial on the side of the frame. Nearly every other example we have seen has been import marked, generally by Interarms. This would likely imply that it was meant for the European commercial market and brought here "covertly". The gun is practically 'as new in the box' with just a few tiny spots of handling wear and mint grips and bore. Only 2,600 of these interesting pistols were made in the 1970s and even fewer were actually imported into the US. This gun is complete with manual, matching test target, and original but unnumbered box. Also includes a spare mag. 1976 date is present on frame. Manual is specifically marked P.38-K, which is also hard to find.
