SOLD - Rare Walther P.38 - 480 code

8/2/17 - This is a rare 480 code Walther P.38 in all original condition.  The bluing rates at about 70-75%, with most of the finish loss on the right side of the slide but patina throughout.  The pistol is all correct and matching.  There were only about 7,000 of this variation produced with 480 code on the trigger guard, making it one of the rarest P.38 variations.  Like most of the early Walther P.38's, the small parts are waffen proofed.  The grips are numbered to the pistol.  The pistol has an early Walther mag in it (two E/359 proofs).  The bore has no pitting but is decently frosted throughout.
