11/12/18 - This is a rare Verchromt Walther PPK in very good original condition that retains about 85% of its original finish. Very few PPKs were finished in “verchromt”, which was Walther’s experiment in producing a variation of the plated finish - essentially a type of electrolysis plating that gave the gun a dull gray appearance. Unfortunately, it proved to be less durable than the standard blue finish and very few such guns were made in the early 30s. There is uniform thinning to the finish on the slide and frame. Comes with an excellent Verchromt magazine. Excellent bore. Grip has thin surface crack on right side.
