2/8/19 - This is an extremely rare Luger whose origin is a matter of controversy. What we can say for sure is that these 'Kl' marked guns are reworked Lugers, either by Simson or an affiliate in the 1930s, most likely 1933 for this one based off the chamber marking. It has several Eagle/6 proofs to show the connection. Some collectors link these guns to concentration camp guards but we have not seen proof of this connection. Whatever the case, these were VERY early Third Reich Lugers at a time when both DWM And Mauser were not making them. The pistol is in excellent condition, with nicely strawed small parts and about 95% original blue remaining. It is an original and matching example, including the magazine. The grips are not numbered but appear original to the time of rework. Bore is somewhat cloudy, but no corrosion.
