7/7/17 - This is an SA issued Walther PP from approximately 1939. It is marked for issue to Gruppe Westfalen, specifically, which is one of the rarest Gruppe names. Only 5 or 6 have been recorded, and at the time of printing for Jan Still's Axis Pistols, only 1 is recorded. During WWII, the SA was responsible for the pre- and post-military training of German manpower in cooperation with the heads of the military services. The finish on this pistol rates at about 96% with most of the wear found on the straps, and minor freckling on the left side of the slide. Excellent finger extension magazine. Proper grips, though the left panel does have a minor crack. Excellent bore.
