Rare Police Mauser P.38

6/27/18 - This is a rare Mauser-made P.38, with police eagle/f marking on the right side of the slide.  Only 1,500 of these pistols were produced!  According to Jan Still, they fall between 4346-5501, and this one is 4941, right in the middle of the range.  It has a nice dual-tone finish, with phosphate frame and slide, as well as phosphate small parts, but a blued barrel.  There is some dulling of finish on the slide, but most of the finish loss is on the front strap.  Excellent black grips and Mauser magazine.  Minty bore.  Comes with an excellent and original police softshell holster.
