12/19/19 - This is a rare police-issued Mauser P.38 from November of 1944. It's one of only 1,500 produced with Eagle over F proof on right side of slide. Pistol is all matching and original, but there is a fair amount of thinning to the finish, most notably on the front strap. The left side of slide and firing pin cover also have some finish loss. Excellent grips. Mauser magazine. Bore has decent rifling but some frost and freckling throughout.
