3/29/20 - This is a rare and early Walther P.38 from 1940, one of only 7,000 produced with '480' code on frame/slide. It has all matching numbers but the finish was restored at some point. There is some age under the finish and a bit of oxidation on the right side of the slide, so was likely re-blued many years ago. Small parts correctly have Walther inspection stamp. Grips are numbered and matching to the gun. Bore has strong rifling with minor signs of use, and a bit of freckling near the muzzle. Safety works but de-cocker does not.
