10/31/18 - Have been collecting for over 20 years and only seen a couple of these that were real (saw a few faked ones as well). This is a very early Nazi occupation Radom in the pre-letter suffix range. Most likely made in late 1940 to early 1941. There is not much finish left on the slide but the frame has about 80% of its original finish. Only about 1000-1400 pistols were Eagle/M marked on the frame like this one. This marking is guaranteed to be all original and authentic. You can see the "age" in the marking. There is also an N property mark on the front strap which indicates this gun was issued to the Nortsee Navy Base in the Baltic region. The Navy variation is also unique as they have blued barrels, and no lanyard loop. They typically fall in the early no letter block or A block, so will also have the slotted cut out for stock on the back of the frame. The gun is all matching and has a pretty strong bore. This gun was obviously exposed to salt air but fortunately, while discolored, is relatively free from rust or pitting. Mechanically the gun seems to function correctly. The grips and magazine are correct and WW2 original. While you might not like the aesthetics of this gun bear in mind that it might be YEARS before you see another AND nicer examples have sold for double our asking price.
