2/25/19 - This is a set that probably becomes available for sale once in a lifetime. It is an all original G Date Luger with Kriegsmarine Nord Sea markings, accompanied by a Kriegsmarine Nord Sea marked .22 caliber conversion unit with a toggle train matched to the gun! Both are completely original and unmessed with. The gun retains around 95% of its original blue with some minor spotting in the finish visible on side plate and on the grip straps, and minor rub wear on high points. There is no pitting or rust anywhere. The gun is all matching including the grips and is accompanied by a non-matching but proper Navy property marked magazine. Excellent bore. The early, original Kriegsmarine markings are present prominently on the front grip strap, including the early Naval eagle. The most unbelievable part of this rig is the early, Kriegsmarine marked conversion kit with a toggle train that matches the last two digits of the gun’s serial number! Although the .22 caliber magazine and the barrel insert are not matched to the toggle train, all the kit components have the same early Kriegsmarine eagle, accompanied by a Nord Sea property number. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire such scarce set, as only about 300 of the Navy G Date Lugers were made with early KM markings, so to find with a partially matching Navy conversion kit may not be seen again on the market for a long time.
