6/21/21 - This is a minty example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. This one comes with a rare FN-made slide. The dual-tone appearance is caused by phosphated frame and slide and a blued barrel. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. There is a star marking on the slide, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back the factory for repair. The rig comes with a very nice 1944-dated waffen-proofed holster and two period-correct Mauser magazines. The gun is in minty condition. There is spotty discoloration on the slide and frame. This is typical for phosphate finishes, and we don't believe this is actual finish loss. Hint of wear around the muzzle. Excellent black bakelite grips. The bore is mint. De-cocker is functional.
