8/29/18 - This is a rare G Date Mauser K98, manufactured in 1935 and featuring original finish but mismatched original parts. Introduced during the early years of the Nazi Party's dominance of Germany, the code system was intended to obscure the scale and speed of German re-armament, and all correct G Date K98s are seldom available to the collector market. The original finish rates at about 70-80% with a nice receiver but thinning throughout other areas. The bayo lug and area under the front barrel band are 'in the white', a feature of these early rifles that helps to ensure original bluing. Loads of early acceptance proofs adorn this rifle as well. Comes with an original sling and cleaning rod. Terrific bore.
