7/17/18 - This is an extremely rare G Date Mauser K98, manufactured in 1935 and featuring all matching numbers and original finish. Introduced during the early years of the Nazi Party's dominance of Germany, the code system was intended to obscure the scale and speed of German re-armament, and all correct G Date K98s are seldom available to the collector market. The original finish rates at 90+% with some minor edge thinning and dulling of the finish, as well as muzzle wear on either side. The bayo lug and area under the front barrel band are 'in the white', a feature of these early rifles that helps to ensure original bluing. All numbered parts match the receiver, including the stock, hand guard and butt plate. Loads of early acceptance proofs adorn this rifle as well. Comes with an original sling and cleaning rod. Terrifc bore.
